swimming
So I’m waiting for Andy to pick me up so that we can go swimming. I’m so hot right now, it’s going to feel so nice. We’re going to his house with some of his friends. This heat is rediculous. We’re supposed to get a thunderstorm this afternoon, so I hope it holds off until after we’re done in the pool…
This is my last blog of the year. It’s nice because I feel like I’m tying up the loose ends of a project. On the other hand, it’s sort of sad. I mean, this blog contains information about events in my life that are a big deal right now. When I’m thirty, I could look back at what I wrote and either be like, “Wow, those were some good times,” or, “Wow, I was stupid.” Either way, this is a recording of part of my Junior year in high school. High school is supposed to be some of the best years of your life. I hope when I see this again I’ll think of that.
new girl at work
So there’s this new girl at my work. Her name is Brianna. When I met her last weekend, she didn’t seem so bad… then I talked to her.
She told me that she’s a sophomore at Glens Falls High School, so I was like, Oh my boyfriend goes there too. So she asked me what his name was, and when I told her, she starts doing this high-pitched giggle and says, “I know him, well, kind of. I know who he is anyway.” I thought it was kind of weird because she was giggling so badly so later in the shift I brought him up again. I said, “So, you know my boyfriend?” and she was like “Well, yeah, kind of, he goes to my school. He’s a Senior, right?” I was like, Yeah. Then she went on to tell me who his close friends were, what sport he played, and where he sits at lunch. I was like, what the hell, freak! Are you stalking him or something? But I didn’t actually say that (since I have to work with her and all). Then she said, “So how did you wind up with someone from Glens Falls?” I said, “Oh, he works here and we started dating last summer.” So she was like, “How long have you been together?” and I said “nine and a half months.” She started giggling AGAIN and then was like “So you must be getting sick of him, right?” No, actually I’m not bitch.
If you had just heard her…. AHHH! This girl Kate I work with was like, “Stupid whore. At least Andy won’t do anything.” Oh well. Seeing as I’ve been there so long, I can just make her do gross work that will make her smell bad.
IT’S HOT!!!
Right now it’s about 100 degrees in the school. The media center is packed because it’t the only room in the whole school that seems to be air conditioned. I’m burning up and it seems like there’s no relief. Plus, I have a sun burn on my shoulders and across the top of my back. Sunday, after I got out of work, I went to Andy’s to go swimming. His mom bought me my own pool-side chair because she only had 3 (for her, Andy, and his brother). She also got me a floating chair for in the pool and 3 noodles because they are my favorite pool things.
But seriously, I can’t believe how hot it is. I’m running out of tank tops to wear, not to mention the fact that I don’t have a single pair of shorts that I can wear to school. Nobody makes shorts anymore that follow the dress code. There are only 2 more days of school left after today, but they are going sooo slowly. First of all, I didn’t do ANYTHING at all during my morning classes. Add in the heat and it makes the day miserable. This afternoon we’re doing locker clean out, but it doesn’t seem like it’s time to do it yet. None of my afternoon teachers have stopped doing regular classes yet so by 7th period, it feels like a normal day, not the last week of school. Tomorrow and Thursday we’re going to be in lock-down, so no one can go anywhere except their classes. At least it’s going to be cooler.
